You may have hit a slow mirror.
Isn't steering contact away from slow mirrors part of mirrorbrain's job?
It could be a transient hickup.
Before this wild guessing continues, let me give you some facts: - mirrorbrain does not know how fast a mirror is, there are some weights and some heuristics, but in general it can always be that a mirror has a bad day - mirrorbrain will not redirect unversioned files - the problem yesterday was that the OBS created too many unversioned files in the metadata. This was quickly noted and fixed, but it took a while for all repos to republish - and once mirrorbrain's bandwidth is full, it's slow for everyone. - as noted by someone else: the problem cooled down at 3pm CEST, but it showed once again how flawless our infrastructure works most other times because plenty of people reported the problem. This wouldn't have happened if it were a usual problem ;-) Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
