Has the hang issue with Leap 42.3 and Intel graphics cards been resolved now in the released version?
Since yesterday, drm-kmp-default 4.9.33_k4.4.79_4 exist in default Leap 42.3 update repository. It fixes major problems with Intel graphics.
This is good news -- I'm running a Skylake processor which has been plagued by freezes. I've installed the new kernel and will report back on whether it fixes the problem.
I've been running the new kernel for ten days and so far no freezes. Could be I've just been lucky -- I sometimes got several lockups a day, but usually only once a week. But I suspect the problem has been solved.
Regards, Tristan Well, with ironlake it makes sddm unusable and has crashes with a major frequency. So I had to embargo that package (even the newest version).
