Tumbleweed still ships Python 3.7.3 while 3.7.6 was just released.
devel:languages:python:Factory/python3 is already 3.8.0 but I guess this cannot be submitted to Factory until all the 3.8 issues in third-party modules are solved. (BTW: 3.8.1 released yesterday.)
Until that happens I'd vote for doing updates to 3.7.6 and submit those to Factory to get it into Tumbleweed.
Opinions?
Sorry, Michael, your request fall through the cracks here.
Your suggestion is absolutely correct. Since transition to 3.8 will take some considerable amount of time, I'm all in for another 3.7 round. It's a shame to stick with 3.7.3 for so long.
It now has been another 4 weeks with Python 3.8 blocking update to Python 3.7.6. Ciao, Michael. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
