I updated my ext4-root desktop (with proprietary Nvidia driver) this afternoon. It all went really well, no issues at all. I wasn't sure if it was needed by the update process, but I took the precaution of doing this step first: cd /usr ln -s . /usr/usr This did fix the previously mentioned kernel default/build symlinks which I can now see in the post-update system. The only other dead symlinks I can find in the post-merge root were already present in the backup that was made prior to the update. Good job. Cheers, Michael
