Rebooting to multi-user has text displayed, but moving to graphical and then back to multi-user and no text displayed. In graphical target text is displayed in the tty's.
nvidia gs450 w/nvidia 375.10 driver. Might be irrelevant but I had to rebuild the nvidia driver after that update even though there was no kernel update. I couldn't get graphical mode at all, it reported plasma can't use opengl 2.0 (although i'm set to opengl 3.1)
tks, I am using opengl 3.2 but do not get _complaints_ from plasma 5.8.2, and I tend to rebuild/re-install the nvidia driver whenever I drop to multi-user target.
