Now select 5.7.11-1-default at grub and VirtualBox works again.

Why not to pin kernel 5.7.11 (and other 5.7.11 related stuff) until VBox works with Kernel 5.8? This worked fine for me. But it leads me to a question: Is there some way how I can pin just the major version (5.7) and not the specific 5.7.11?
