Hello openSUSE!
Now that we have Leap 15.6 *confirmed it is time to collect ideas in https://code.opensuse.org/leap/features/issues
This call is for those who know that update of their favorite package(s) in Leap 15.6 will depend on a update of a SLES package.
We're also interested in tracking higher level or more complex requests/ideas that will require some co-ordination and or could use some more visibility as the list is also input for Release Annoucement etc.
SLES Release Management would like to have all "early" features for SLES 15 SP6 requsted by 21st of July, which is in a bit more than month from now. We can of course request SLES 15 SP6 features even after the deadline, but they could be potentially treated as late features which comes with extra process overhead.
Leap itself isn't as strict, and we basically accept new packages / features until the code submission *deadline for Leap 15.6 Beta, which is end of February 2023.
Is the date correct? I think February 2023 was the deadline for 15.5.
Updated to 15 SP6 code drop deadline. Thank you!
Leap 15.6 Features that we already know will
land late, due to their own schedule should ideally be tracked in code- o-o as well.
As usual I'm reviewing incoming requests together with Neal on Mondays 15:00 CEST at https://meet.opensuse.org/meeting
Happy Hacking!
