Trying to install kernel-source-2.6.25-rc7.git2.HEAD_20080327201225.x86_64.rpm on 10.3 with rpm-4.4.2-140 gives me:
rpm -i --force /home/mk/kernel-source-2.6.25-rc7.git2.HEAD_20080327201225.x86_64.rpm error: Failed dependencies: rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma) <= 4.4.2-1 is needed by kernel-source-2.6.25-rc7.git2.HEAD_20080327201225.x86_64
The previous KOTD ( 2.6.25-rc6-git5-HEAD_20080326045029) didn't have that dependency . Is that a packaging error ?
No, Factory got a new rpm (will be synced out when the rebuild is complete) and it seems the KOTD is build against that rpm. I guess it would be feasible for the KOTD to be build with %define _binary_payload w9.bzdio in the spec file to avoid that dependency.
