Btw. what is the recommended way to add packages with zypper? I have some as yast2 and some as rpm-md...
I've been confused about this for a while too. I clearly remember AJ saying in 10.1 development times something along the lines of: "We're moving 100% to rpm-md". Being the sucker that I am I always used rpm-md since then. But if I'm not mistaken the "Community Repositories" YaST2 module adds the official repos using the YaST-format? While BS-repos are only available in rpm-md? So what is recommended? What are pros and cons? Do each perform the same wrt. cache and download size? Do they support patterns and other features equally well? Any good reason not to "standardize" on a single repo format? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
