It's a 8-month cycle, not 18 month.
Ooops...my bad...I wondered when I wrote that if it was correct -- seemed awfully long. Guess it went from 4->8 months. Brain has too many numbers in it.
Also, if you really want it, you could ask here on factory if 2.x can be pushed into Tumbleweed and then upgrade your system to Tumbleweed.
