Cannot connect to my Bluetooth headset after updating to bluez 5.62

Getting "br-connection-unknown" intermittently on bluez 5.62 + pipewire 0.3.39 packages (only pipewire-media-session is 1:0.4.0). Pipewire is installed from packman source. Any help is appreciated. See also: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=270465
