I'm organising a post 12.2 bug triage and Apper will be a focus of that.
Additionally I want 'More than lip service paid to desktop update applets' as a feature for 12.3.
Of what use is a bug triage if there is nobody working on the back- end?
Gives us something to throw up the ladder, doesn't it?
Or are you again going to spend time on getting into code you actually are not supposed to maintain and start fixing bugs because nobody else cares?
Gary fixed the PK zypp backend bugs I triaged-out-of-Apper for 12.2, and I'm the closest to being the person responsible in openSUSE for KDE Apper PK bugs. The upstream developer is only interested in PackageKit 0.8 support for Apper now, so it's my problem.
So that means even if someone manages to fix some of the issues in 12.2, we'll start all over again in 12.3. I thought PK was supposed to _help_ application developers, not giving them the run-around.
