Absolutely! I don't install anything from a home unless told by the owner to do so. It is impossible to know, by looking at the name of the project, what it is for. Maybe he use it to test things, maybe it is broken, maybe it is for some special needs... it is largely undocumented, unknown, and there is no standard way to learn or even ask.
