Hi,
The openSUSE board will most likely register an openSUSE-specific directory in the EFI system partition subdir registry (thanks to Jörg Wiegleb for pushing for this): http://www.uefi.org/registry
AFAIK, right now, we use EFI/opensuse. Do we want to register this or instead the real case (EFI/openSUSE), assuming that we'd do the change in our packages? Note that many entries in the registry have mixed case (RedHat, VMware, etc.)
Default bootloader is grub2 and it defaults to all lower case. It is possible to pass subdirectory explicitly (grub-install --bootloader-id=openSUSE); this requires explicit changes to YaST (to make it configurable) and perl-bootloader. Or openSUSE specific patch.
As ESP is case insensitive anyway, I do not think it matters at the end. openSUSE looks prettier in the registry, but having opensuse on disk will not harm.
Should I take this as your +1 to register openSUSE since the case doesn't matter? :-) Cheers, Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
