With the release of openSUSE 12.3, openSUSE:Tumbleweed is now empty, to allow for easier updating.
For those of you who wish to keep Tumbleweed 12.2 running for a while, without having to upgrade, I suggest you do NOT update your Tumbleweed system for a while until you wish to upgrade.
Greg can you please indicate what the outcome of your proposals where around Tumbleweed becoming a standalone rolling release?
I do not know yet, I will be testing out the "full distro" solution and if it works, switch to that. But it will take me a few weeks at the earliest to know for sure.
Should we install openSUSE 12.3 then update point the repos to Tumbleweed and zypper dup from there? Or will there be a separate new (one off) iso for the Tumbleweed install?
Tumbleweed will not have isos, sorry. Just upgrade to 12.3 for now, anything Tumbleweed does in the future will be compatible from that, I'll make sure. greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
