Digest errors are usually mirror errors. When I have them, I make a quick switch using MC to a different set:

Each suffix to .repo indicates a unique mirror URI in the file. D is for d.o.o. C indicates Patrick Shanahan's method of including multiple URIs in the file.
I copy a different .repoX file to .repo, takes only seconds to do 7 or however many need changing.
I'm in the middle of a direct upgrade from 15.2 to 15.4. No faults found as yet. I'm in USA east.

Thanks, I suppose it's most probably a transient problem with my only South African mirror if that's so then it should be fixed by repositories with specific urls , I can edit the installation systems url to try. Just done a zypper dup on my Tumbleweed laptop without error and after managing to eventually install a very unstable Leap:15.4 system on my pc I could install the missing packages, except for iso-codes-lang which appears to be a corrupted package. Going to copy over root etc to spare hard drive, fortunately I have a separate /opt and /home to see if it will boot on my pc after editing fstab to add my not root partitions Wish me luck Dave P
