What is "HW older than x86_64-v3" ?
Anything older than 2020
Well, it seems it is time to throw away my perfectly working sandybridge pc which i use for testing.
That would be a pretty premature action, given that: 1) no decision about x86_64v2/v3 has been made for the community ALP spin 2) the quote *explicitly* states that the discussion is about supporting pre-x86_64v3 hardware and *not* about dropping support So please everyone calm down and keep your machines. We do want to keep machines which do not support x86_64v3 supported in one way or the other.
