There is one bug I've just been informed where /etc/init.d/boot.cleanup is now replaced by systemd equivalent, which is not doing exactly the same things as the old script.
Ahh, interesting. Then it *was* an opensuse bug which killed a few GB of my data. Just checked and I've got the "no" there, while the cron mechanism was disabled as well:
MAX_DAYS_IN_TMP="" TMP_DIRS_TO_CLEAR="/tmp /var/tmp" CLEAR_TMP_DIRS_AT_BOOTUP="no"
No, you didn't read/understand the bug-report. It was about files not being cleared, *not* about files being cleared disreguarding settings. It is an openSUSE bug but not related to your loss. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
