I've suggested a new 3.9.4 package be added to factory - no further response so far. Sounds like my standard complaint? You're right. Hi Sid,
3.9.4 packages for Factory are available from my Home repository. Just use the following URL:
http://software.opensuse.org/search?baseproject=openSUSE%3AFactory&p=1&q=hplip
I will create a submitreq again to the devel-project of hplip, so that we can expect this version to be in Factory.

Raymond
Installed hplip and hplip-hpijs. "rccups restart" OK, "http://localhost:631" shows filter not found, so cannot start the printer. # lpq hpphotosmartc4100series is not ready no entries
I shall have a look with YaST later. Regards Sid.
Set up with YaST, "http://localhost:631" shows printer online. Tried printing a test page after "rccups restart". # lpq hpphotosmartc4100series is ready Rank Owner Job File(s) Total Size 1st root 29 Test Page 17408 bytes # lpc status hpphotosmartc4100series: printer is on device 'hp' speed -1 queuing is enabled printing is enabled 1 entries daemon present Still no print. I did a 1-click install # rpm -qi hplip package hplip is not installed # rpm -qi hplip-hpijs package hplip-hpijs is not installed # o /etc/zypp/repos.d/home\:rwooninck\:updates.repo [home:rwooninck:updates] name=home:rwooninck:updates enabled=1 autorefresh=1 baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/rwooninck:/updates/openSUSE_... type=rpm-md keeppackages=0 I shall have to revisit this later.
