Hi all,
Since the original VirtualBox 5.1.26 has vboxnet0 was missing, I installed VirtualBox provided by openSUSE Leap 42.3.
I can't get the program to start up. I started from konsole and the results appear below:
VirtualBox VirtualBox: Error -10 in SUPR3HardenedMain! VirtualBox: Effective UID is not root (euid=1000 egid=100 uid=1000 gid=100)
VirtualBox: Tip! It may help to reinstall VirtualBox. mantrid ~ QSettings::value: Empty key passed QSettings::value: Empty key passed
Is there a workaround?
Roman,
I'm not sure why this is happening to you. On my system, I get
finger@linux-srm7:~/staging> VirtualBox & [1] 3062 finger@linux-srm7:~/staging> Qt WARNING: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
finger@linux-srm7:~/staging>
At this point, the VB GUI is up and running as expected. That Qt WARNING appears to be harmless. The permissions on VB are
finger@linux-srm7:~/staging> ls -l /usr/bin/VirtualBox -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1994 Jul 31 10:32 /usr/bin/VirtualBox
Anything different on your system>

Larry Looks like I'm having a permissions problem. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
