If it is not in the list, does not meant it does not work, install the driver and **try** it yourself
The nvidia driver requires a little more than an update to the pc_ids to fully support this chipset. (It works correctly under X11 but the console VT's don't work right after the nvidia driver has loaded... Problem looks like a bit like a horizontal CRT sync issue)
That sounds rather like a configuration problem which I had a long time ago (1.0-76xx) where the kernel was loading the nv_agp module which it shouldn't have - no problems since. I have 1.0-9764 installed on two boxes x86 and x86_64 without VT problems. # lsmod|grep nv nvidia 4715092 28 agpgart 33616 1 nvidia My card on the 64x2 box # lspci|grep VGA 00:05.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation C51PV [GeForce 6150] (rev a2)
However, the nv driver will work at 1280X800... which is OK until you need 3D. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
