If cdrtools is not in the main repo, you would need to ask Suse people as they promised to put cdrtools into the main repo in 2009 already.
Ha, wrong terminology there: We don't promise packages to go into Factory, we review them to go there. We helped you to get cdrtools into the same devel project as wodim. This help was promised earlier. For 'the main repo', please try
$ osc sr multimedia:apps cdrtools openSUSE:Factory
It it is in the main repo, why do people frequently ask how to get it?
Btw: multimedia:apps/wodim was last updated in 2011, so it is less dead than you had assumed.
cdrkit currently has an overall of aprox. 100 serious bugs in the various bug tracking systems of Linux distros. I still tend to call something dead, if it does not fix these serious bugs but just applies some typo fixes in order to get a more recent release date. To be more specific: even direct bug reports to the cdrkit mailing list are just ignored. cdrkit is a result of introducing a hostile packager at Debian, 8.5 years ago. It is a bit diappointing to see that the OSS community has no working method to deal with attacks from hostile people against OSS projects within a reasonable amount of time.
