Santa Barbara SBIG CCD camera is one of the most popular cameras used in astronomy. In order to operate, the CCD requires a firmware to be uploaded upon detection on the USB port. Otherwise, you can't establish any further communications at all.
What is the license of this firmware? Is it possible to re-distribute it?
