My understanding is that 15.6 is "available" . . . for install or upgrade, but as "alpha"??? Or some such, they are looking for "testers" . . . . But it isn't "released" for the public.
I was going to jump up from 15.5, by editing the repos from "15.5" to "15.6" . . . but then hesitated on it, as in 15.5 Packman took a fair amount of time to work when I moved up from 15.4 . . . other stuff going on right now.
