Hi, see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=554884 _My_ solution for kde4: ~/.kde4/Autostart/touchpad.sh: synclient TapButton1=1
I'm a little puzzled here... the bug says that touchpad tap is _disabled_ by default in KDE4... it certainly is not disabled in my KDE4 installs? In my KDE4.3.1 install (since upgraded to 4.3.4) touchpad tap is enabled right from the install, and I didn't do anything to enable it.
Now that it's disabled in KDE4, is there an easy way (ie using the GUI and Configure Desktop) to re-enable it for those that like to have touchpad tap enabled? I see and option for it in Gnome under Control Center > Mouse > Touchpad > Enable mouse clicks with touchpad. I see nothing for the same toggle in KDE4 in the Configure Desktop menus - unless I've missed something.
You can use Synaptiks or kcm_touchpad (I had the best luck with the former) from kde4:community repository - or Touchfreeze from Packman repository. I guess there's a pretty good chance that 11.3 KDE will have one of the KDE tools included in the main distro, which should help/remove the need for changing the defaults. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
