I've just done that. I thought that should have been a Global Alternate shortcut, but it seems there aren't any of those. Will check what's up with that later.
They are/were actually "Alternate" shortcuts, not "Global Alternate". The latter didn't exist at all in KDE4. As mentioned, Shift+Ins is set as alternate shortcut for "Paste" by default, but "Copy" doesn't have one set, only the primary Ctrl+Shift+C.
