I found how to make tasks re-appear in the task bar, but not the rest of the 'surprise, that no longer exists' changes so far.
I've now found that I can drag/drop an icon as a replacement for "add to panel" that went missing on me, so I can fix that bit of damage as well. Seems the desktop has become exclusively a place to hang a background image, but whatever, I don't clutter up my desktop anyway.
So the pile of wreckage is shrinking, but there's still more left than I expected to ever meet in a rolling stable release.

'Stable' - I don't think that word means what you think it means...
I know full well what stable means thank you very much. I said it looks like I'll have to abandon TW, I did not say nor imply that TW maintainers should abandon all change lest they affect my box. This wasn't anything resembling a transition from one way of doing business to another, updating thoroughly demolished my workspace, that I did not expect. Does sh*t happen? Yes it does, we all know that. I didn't expect this particular kind of sh*t to happen in TW. -Mike -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
