i _think_ the critical packages are
libxine1 libxine1-codecs libxine1-pulse phonon-backend-xine
don't think the w32...codecs package from packman 11.1 is required, but i still have it. might try installing that if it doesn't work with the above...
for gstreamer the good-bad and ugly with deps did the trick. amarok is playing now, and i allways was confident with it, now also.. xine does not yet play. thnx for the support you both .. :) -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (M9.)
