From the description above I still don't understand whether
biosdevname_udevrule_rename_all_network_devices.patch
is now in or out of the new package, but I was left with no network after reboot since suddenly my Ethernet interface was named eno1 instead of em1,
enm1 comes from biosdevname (Ethernet on Motherboard). eno1 comes from udev (un-)predictable interface names (Ethernet On-board). So apparently biosdevname is no more applied.
but wickedd was still trying to use the old name. I had to delete the old interface in YaST and configure the new one. Somehow I think that should have at least been warned about if not auto-configured.
Yes, I would also call it a bug - if package is installed I do not expect its rules to disappear. After all the whole point of biosdevname is to provide rules for naming interfaces. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
