sorry I am very new to the suse build service - no idea how to operate it
To look out for errors in musescore package, I downloaded the most recent version from git to my local computer using:
git clone https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore.git
then issued "make release" which works completely fine (after installation of some "-devel" packages as specified in musescore.spec from here:https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:dliw:branches:Education/Mu seScore).
Seems that dliw was working on that as well - last commit one day ago. Actually I found 2 musescore packages in official repos, one in Education and one in Multimedia. The one in Multimedia is quite outdated and should be deleted (@Craig Gardner - would you mind?)
The program compiles nicely with the most recent qt5-...-devel files now.
I branched from another persons home branch https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:dliw:branches:Education, uploaded the (unchanged) sources from git and adapted the spec-file.
Now I am waiting for the compile result... see here https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:bassman56:branches:home:dliw:br anches:Education/MuseScore#
Is this the rigth procedure?
looks good, indeed. once it builds (and installs/runs) properly, you could - submit it to the package you branched from and ask dliw to submit to Education, or - submit to Education immediately HTH Axel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
