I use reiserfs from the beginning, with little problems and I have tried ext3 with some problems, mostly when switching from ext2 to ext3 which is not as riskless as it's said. but this is not of great importance. I just quote this to say that it must be said that ext2 and ext3 are _not_ the same file system.
