Well, OTOH I would certainly object if someone (besides my co-maintainers) would just start enabling build targets for my repo (and me getting build fail notifications etc).
Agreed, in principle. Then again, I've no problems with repos failing -- I've an issue with the lack of having the repos, and even the failing packages -- available. If available -- even with FAILs -- there are more eyes on the problem, willing to fix. Not-so-rhetorical question: as a maintainer, when would you prefer to have additional eyes on your packages -- before or after the 'official' release of the corresponding distro?
So politely asking people here and on opensuse-packaging to enable their repos for $NEXT_UPCOMING_RELEASE is probably the best we can do now.
According to tacit in #irc, such an email *was* sent. The issue is that it's not acted on ... Of course it can be 'manually' worked around -- by nagging if necessary. For a distro -- maintainers and users alike -- that's always legitimately complaining about limited time & resources, choosing to continue a process that causes more work for all involved seems ludicrous. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
