The changes described (screenshots included) in this pull request are already in their way to Tumbleweed (sr#356569) https://github.com/yast/yast-users/pull/84
So the question now is - should we adapt the control.xml file for Tumbleweed or is it fine to not offer the selection of password encryption method during installation anymore?
My suggestion is not to offer this option at installation time, pick just one according to whatever the security team suggests, stick with it for as long it is considered secure.
+1 The default password encryption method might be interesting when using NIS but the module for NIS that can handle that when actually configuring NIS. It's just not important enough at installation time. cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.com/ SUSE Linux GmbH, GF: Felix Imendörffer, Jane Smithard, Graham Norton, HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
