I'm happy to announce that the DVD ISOs of openSUSE 11.4 are finished.
The next big thing now is the launch of openSUSE 11.4 on Thursday, 10th of March. Please support the marketing team *NOW* with getting everything ready for the launch. Join us on the opensuse-marketing mailing list and on freenode IRC channel #opensuse-marketing.
Can someone poke sndirsch about the upcoming openSUSE release, so we don't have a repeat of 11.3 where the nvidia blobs only became available a few weeks after the release?
And also poke him with https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=648718 - which means plasma-desktop will crash for any person running 32-bit KDE with the nvidia blob - unless nvidia blob <= 256.x.x.x is the provided version for 32-bit systems.
Look's like that is fixed with the beta driver 270.29 (meanwhile 270.30 is out, but I haven't tested it yet).
If these sorts of things are not in place, all the marketing effort might be more or less in vain.
Sure. It's nearly impossible for newbies to fix such things. Herbert -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
