Is this obsolete since the upgrade to 4.7? It was still installed here, and with a fresh user login, KDE got half started, then just stopped, hanging X. Escape required remote ssh login, or reboot via power button. There was no objection to zypper rm kdebase4-session, so I proceeded. Then the desktop proceeded to start, then the screen went black, with nothing but a mouse pointer. So I reinstalled kdebase4-session, but still KDE won't finish startup.
Issue of hang reported at https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=709863 but efficacy of kdebase4-session-4.6.95 remains a question.
We have fixed the package version in KDE:Distro:Factory and openSUSE:Factory.
