That the buttons do not work is significative, it means that javascript is not working. It is possible that it does not matter: for reset we can reload, and for print we can use the menu. But there is no assurance that there is no more code in the form that does more things.
On the upside, that means you are not potentially executing untrusted code :)
If I'm filling a form from my government, the point is moot. That code is needed, whatever it is. I have to trust my government, even if I don't. For instance, some forms (I don't have a sample) generate a page full of dot codes. When you print the form and submit it in paper they scan those dote codes with a laser hand scanner, and they get all the form data into their computer system. That's one of the reasons the administration love these adobe forms, they are fast and they work. I assume that those dot codes (like bar codes, with way more data), are generated by that javscript code. So, IF I get one of those forms I do have to run the code, no alternative. Obviously I do not want to run code from unknown sources. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
