Since 10.1 CD/DVD mounting has been a mystery, e.g. ===================================================================== The zen- updater puts up a message thus, "Media change is Required Please insert 'SUSE-Linux-10.1-CD-download-x86_64 (failed to mount on Mounting media failed: cd:///?devices=/dev/hdc)' on media 1 X Abort Transaction "tick" OK ===================================================================== Click on OK and around you go. My Computer has it as "SU1010.001 iso9660" or "102Bet.001" as appropriate, when clicked on, opens as "media:/hdc" in all its glory. Right on up to 10.2beta1, you can install from CD/DVD, thereafter, YaST, zen-updater don't want to recognise of have anything to do with the media after that. Manual mounting works. It just looks a royal mess of something that used to simply work, like /media/dvd and friends. Any clues as to what /etc/fstab should look like as even from a fresh install 10.1/10.2Alpha4, 10.2Alpha4_upgraded_to_10.2Beta1, no reference to CD/DVD is in /etc/fstab. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
