I'm going to move the image file to my laptop and burn it there to make sure it's not my DVD burner.
If you have an USB stick around, use the "imagewriter" program to write a net install iso to the stick, so you can easily try multiple images!

I tried a new install of TW yesterday on a Thinkpad T61 with 4G memory replacing a windows 10 install.
I tried the 11/16 DVD and Network installs and neither worked. Since neither of them worked I tried the 20180613 DVD. Didn't work.
The install of all the above seems to work normally until the selection for the type of install: KDE, GNOME, server, etc. At that point the hd spins a bit and then all comes to an abrupt end -- the system hangs.
Is this a known issue that will be resolved soon? Certainly does not provide a good user experience for someone looking at TW as an option.
Thanks for any info. This looks like an improperly created install medium. Which and how did you create it?
