Hallo,
I installed the latest alpha. The problem: I selected minimal text-system but 1,1 GB diskspace are in use after the installation. A short look into yast-package-manger shows me a lot of X11 Packages etc.
This is fixed meanwhile, there are only 4 x11 library packages in the text-system now, it should be around 600MB and this is not minimal, but an useful base. For really minimal system you need to deselect e.g. yast and also packages like vim.
The Suse 10.3 minimal comes without vi iputils etc. Why was this changed? For building really small servers a good base. Or is it possible to define a second selection "really small text mode". I m prefering building systems from button to top and not to make "fat" systems smaller with having trouble because of dependencies. I think a similar diskussion "runs" some month ago. What ever: I v the 11 has the same level like 10.3 it will be a good one.
