OK, thanks. I've occasionally put stuff under /var/tmp/$USER/ when I intended to throw it away shortly thereafter. Sometimes I kept it for longer, though. This has worked for years, so I don't think I've ever allowed openSUSE to clean out my /var/tmp/. This has happened for the first time now. To the apologists: I don't need lessons about what temporary means. It's just that until recently *I* was the one who decided how long "temporary" lasted. And I've never authorized anyone to delete my data. It's a matter of trust. Unjustified trust, as I know now. Won't make this mistake again. m. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
