I was looking for opencl in Blender for cycles rendering. It might also be a good idea to enable enable opencl support in oss drivers although it is hit and miss depending on needs. I ended up compiling it into mesa, but didn't work for Blender's purposes. I imagine it would work in the proprietary driver as I have used opencl there before, but had to install headers and such manually. Seems like a reasonable idea especially considering the common reasons for not implementing opencl support in applications have been the lack of distros shipping it. -- Jimmy On Sat, Jun 27, 2015 at 6:05 AM, Dmitry Roshchin <dmitry@roshchin.org> wrote:
Currently we have basic OpenCL stack in science project. More and more applications have OpenCL, so it would be great to have OpenCL support in openSUSE.
