VLC is a Qt application and therefore its icon should appear in the system tray just fine. But it is hidden now by default (even in KDE4), that's maybe a change in VLC itself (probably because of the change to Qt5). Click on the up-arrow in the system tray to see it.
No, it does not display, hence my comment.
It does here. And again, VLC is a Qt(5) application, so it should just use the "new" (well, it's a few years old already as well) system tray specification.
But as I said, it's hidden by default since a few days, so check the hidden system tray icons.
Or are you still using the Qt4 based version?
libvlc5-2.2.1-285.1
Then make sure you have sni-qt installed.
was not, is now restarted vlc and now shows in systray. tks, -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
