If this is indeed the case (as an ugly workaround) replace the 'kernel-firmware-*' packages by 'kernel-firmware'. The latter are uncompressed firmware files, so the problem with uncompressing the iwlwifi firmware for some cards will be bypassed.
Just seen that you reported the iwlwifi problem for the AX200 Wifi controller as well. So yes, that is most likely the same issue - AX200 is here as well.
