Here's how the boot animation appears using kernel 5.16.5-4.g8e500f5-default from Kernel:stable and a NVidia card (driver 470.103.01 is installed)

% dmesg | grep framebuffer [ 0.267474] [drm] Initialized simpledrm 1.0.0 20200625 for simple- framebuffer.0 on minor 0 [ 0.269236] simple-framebuffer simple-framebuffer.0: [drm] drm_plane_enable_fb_damage_clips() not called [ 0.280579] simple-framebuffer simple-framebuffer.0: [drm] fb0: simpledrmdrmfb frame buffer device
According to this you have two screens and one framebuffer. I suppose with one screen only this would work. What was the behavior previously?
With kernel 5.15.12, the boot animation is displayed correctly on both monitors.
