I just discovered that my /etc/hosts file is full of "nil" elements where it should have, for example 127.0.0.1 loclhost.
It is a bug, Yast uses 'nil' as a special undefined value. Something went wrong.
This, of course, disturbed part of the working. I think I'm not the only one to have suche things (seen in internet, and probably on an other suse machine, but I can only see it next week).
This seems to come from the install, several month ago, so difficult to trace.
Well, the yast logs might still contain valuable information (unless you have used Yast heavily).
Do somebody have an idea of the reason a defaut install can do this?
No idea, but it's definitely a bug, use bugzilla.novell.com (don't forget to attach the Yast logs). -- Best Regards Ladislav Slezák Yast Developer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ SUSE LINUX, s.r.o. e-mail: lslezak@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 960 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
