Does this work with openSUSE Leap 15.2 too?
Absolutely not - it would be highly inappropriate to insert such a significant behavoural change in a minor release of such a conservative distribution. Regards,

I'll update both the wiki and make an announcement here when I know the exact snapshot number that the release will make
great! thank you very much.
As promised, this is the announcement that Snapshot 20200806 has been released and is the release that contains /tmp as tmpfs by default.
Most existing users don't need to do anything, but can now follow the instructions on https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Tmp_on_tmpfs to change their system to use this new approach.
Users who already had various workarounds to put /tmp on tmpfs should follow the instructions on https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Tmp_on_tmpfs to align their systems with this new default.
Users who want to restore the old behaviour on new systems should follow the instructions also at https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Tmp_on_tmpfs
Have a lot of fun!
