Check which package installed the file /etc/udev/rules.d/55-hpmud.rules and get a version that is compatible with todays udev.
Possibly, hplip. I do not know where to get a version adapted for today's udev and built for KDE3. In 12.1 all worked well.
What version of hplip do you have there? I have 3.12.4, which does not have ANY "SYSFS" in 55-hpmud.rules.
3.11.10. I think this is the last qt3-based version.
Do you have a .rpmsave / .rpmnew in /etc/udev/rules.d ?
No.
Can some expert in regular expressions and sed write Ilya a rule that does s/SYSFS/ATTR/g for all files in /etc/udev/rules.d/?
Thanks,
Larry
When they have come up I have used the command line to fix whichever rule it has complained about, e.g:- # sed -i 's/SYSFS/ATTR/g' /etc/udev/rules.d/52-usx2yaudio.rules Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
