Leap removing legacy BIOS seems to be also an open question. As it seems now SUSE will likely support legacy bios on certain scenarios (VM images etc), so the boot stack itself will likely be supported. That would mean that we (Leap) could likely keep it. The priority of bug reports specific to scenarios unsupported by SUSE would be questionable. Discussions are still taking place and people are listening to the community feedback. My system supports UEFI, however I installed TW in legacy BIOS mode as more habitual. Would be there any easy tool to switch to UEFI?
Maybe switching mode in yast bootloader, but you have to create the ESP partition in advance.
But AFAIK TW is not removing Legacy BIOS boot. Leap is.
