I did not propose lilo to become the default. I proposed to have lilo as an alternative for those cases where grub does not currently work or work well.

I have no idea how important this weighting is, but Jeff Mahoney seemed to think it had some importance.
It's an easy way to see how people feel about a feature that avoids a lot of "no way" and "me too" comments in the discussion.
