Hi, within this e-mail I'd liked to announce a problem with SANE-related packages a) the recognition of a ScanJet 5300C b) Error message: Backend sends more image data than it defined in parameters with regard to paper size https://gitlab.com/sane-project/backends/-/issues/418 [1] https://gitlab.com/sane-project/backends/-/issues/393[2] The problem a) vanishes after a complete deinstallation and re-installation of relevant packages from scratch. Summary at this stage of "reinstallation": * Error origin could not be traced and not clearly validated. * Scanner is clearly recognized * xsane gui starts and could be operated * but now the "paper size issue" _#393_ occurs b) problems could be solved by a new build with see here: https://gitlab.com/sane-project/backends/uploads/0b6126450641e63217531f91bc9... avision.tar.gz[3] containing the following packages: libsane-avision.la libsane-avision.so libsane-avision.so.1 libsane-avision.so.1.0.31 How can this information be put into the openSUSE build process?
